Christmas Eve-Reflections

As I look back at the posts I have written this year…

I am passionate about the things I care about and not shy about sharing my views and thoughts. I try to be mindful that saying the right things, for the right reasons, in the wrong way can do much harm.  But there is much in our world that is wrong.  Immoral, dishonest, illegal, sinful, unjust, unethical, not right, are some of the adjectives I would use to describe it.  And it is easy to forget that the terms we use to describe the ills of our world involve people. People who are true enough broken and misguided, blinded by the darkness, but still people our God and Savior Jesus Christ cares for, loves deeply.

When I think about the baby born in a stable long ago I am also reminded that everyone began life as someones baby girl or boy. From that song we learned long ago “Jesus loves the little children, all the children” we can understand that who we become even if it is immoral, dishonest, illegal, sinful, unjust, unethical, or worse  does not change that. If we are to imitate our Father, to do good in this world we can’t let it change us either.

I have to remind myself of these things.

Wishing all my Word Press friends and family a Merry Christmas and a blessed new year!
