Praying For Believers
Praying For Believers…Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
I believe there is one thing that hinders above everything else the power of the Gospel to draw people to Christ. Many claim to be a Christian, a follower of Christ, but their lives do not look any different than those who are lost.
I”m not being critical, none of us have arrived, or become perfect but it is important to examine how we live if we intend to obey the command of Jesus in Matthew 5:16. If we have truly submitted to Christ and live under His authority our lives should look different. 2 Cor. 5:17. Then and only then can we become an influence for good and for the Gospel in this dark and broken world. And we need to pray for one another.
It is important that we pray with “perseverance and petition for all the saints” Ephesians 6:18. And if we see a brother or sister, “caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.” Galatians 6:1
We need each others prayers. One of the ways we can contribute most effectively to a revival in our churches, our city, and our nation, is through the active practice of praying for each other as believers. It heals us, it unites us, it bonds us. *
