Never Forget

Remember what today is all about….

A time for war a time for peace Ecclesiastes 3:8

We long for the time when finally there will be peace for all mankind. Until that day I am thankful that when war comes there are those who are willing to do whatever it takes, even give their life to serve and protect.

It is naive and idealistic to think war is never necessary or that wars are always just and fought for the right reasons. War should always be the last resort but when all else fails brave men and women hear the call and go. My dad was one of them in World War Two. He was sixteen and lied about his age to join the Navy. It wasn’t for any reason other than it was his duty to serve. His story and many others like them through the years are why we pause to remember today.

Never forget the sacrifices that have been made…
