In the early part of my life seeking to enter the music business, who you knew was the difference in acceptance and rejection.
Sometimes our ability to achieve, succeed, obtain the things we want, it is not about what we know but who we know.
In our relationship with God it is the same.
Jesus was clear about this
“Strive to enter through the narrow door. For many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ But he will say, ‘I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!’
– Luke 13:24,26-27
Serious words that require serious thought on our part.
In Luke 13:10-17 we see why this is so distasteful to Jesus.
Do you care more about your farm animals than you care about this woman, one of Abraham’s daughters, oppressed by Satan for 18 years? Luke 13
Knowing about Him leaves things open to our interpretation of those facts.
Knowing Him enables us to do as He would do.
Its not what we know, but Who we know….
