For it’s by God’s grace that you have been saved.
You receive it through faith. It was not our plan or our effort. It is God’s gift, pure and simple. You didn’t earn it, not one of us did, so don’t go around bragging that you must have done something amazing.
– Ephesians 2:8
The number of sermons preached and books written on the subject of grace would number in the tens of thousands.
But grace is not an exercise in intellectual understanding alone.
Grace is acceptance of what has been provided for us, that we could not provide for ourselves.
Not our plan or our effort. A gift pure and simple….
Grace, like water, flows to the lowest part.”
– Phillip Yancey

We are objects of mercy. Recall when Moses pleaded with God not to destroy the ancient tribes rescued from Egypt after their season of rebellion and being stubborn. Are we any better at times?
But our High Priest pleads for us always before our God of Perfection. Mercy triumphs over judgement. Thank you for reminders.
