More

Each of us are more than the worst we have ever done..

Do you remember the decision that started you down a road you thought you would never go?
Maybe it was a one decision…
Maybe its ongoing..
Maybe it is something known only to you…..
Maybe it has become your identity and everyone knows…
The decision that changed the trajectory of your life.
The voices that tell you this is who you are….
Condemning you to a prison of what might have been but will never be.
Guilt
Condemnation
Shame
Remorse
Disgrace
Dishonor
Failure
Sin
We search desperately for relief.
But our greatest need is not relief.
Our greatest need is
Redemption….
All of our failures, our mistakes, our sins cannot stand against an offer to:
Buy back, pay off, ransom, make amends, atone, restore, deliver, cancel out our debt, our mistakes, our sin …

All of us can be more than the worst we have ever done.
Redemption is possible.
Redemption when God through His Son Jesus Christ provides
Forgiveness: Ephesians 1:7
Righteousness: Romans 5:17
Freedom: Galatians 5:1
Adoption: Galatians 4:6-7
Redemption: Galatians 3:14

Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine..
Isaiah 43:1
Good news.

    1. Wally,
I just realized I failed to give credit to the person providing the opening quote, and the inspiration for writing more.
      His name is Bryan Stevenson.
Bryan provides legal counsel for many people of color who cannot afford representation. I am an admirer of his work and share his vision that all of us created by God uniquely and equally are more the worst we have ever done. That is hope brother.
      That you again.
