Mighty Warriors

group prayer

Who is doing exploits for God today?

Where is the enemy being driven back? That is the great yearning of all spiritually minded people. They are not enchanted with polished sermons and slick organizational technique. But where are the mighty men and women anointed by God to truly make a difference? Who is willing to stand up?

What is it really that stops us from becoming mighty warriors in the Lord? God has not changed. He is still superior to anything the enemy can throw against us. Jim Cymbala

Who, where, what? Great questions. I fear that in our instant gratification culture where our addiction to the pleasures this life are so easily supplied we are not even aware of an enemy or the need to fight against him. And the darkness increases with every passing day.

Babies are being murdered daily. Lawlessness in our streets is punctuated by gunfire and death. Drug addiction takes and destroys lives daily. What is right is wrong, what is wrong is right. And even as the attacks increase against the freedom to worship and stand for what is right our response is to compromise or look the other way.

If God does not judge us for being complicit, see nothing, say nothing, by our lack of concern He will certainly hold us accountable for our apathy.

But as it was in the days of Elijah there is a remnant who have remained faithful. Mighty warriors waiting for reinforcements. God has not changed. He is still superior to anything the enemy can throw against us. And He is waiting for you.

Will you answer the call?

I think that is a really great point. We often sit back and think simply not participating in a thing is all we need to do, when in fact we actually need to actively stand against and for some things.
